The service is retiring and users are being notified via email about the closure of the service, and emails sent to the @facebook.com email address will be forwarded to their primary email address connected to your account.
It seems Facebook has some more bigger plans for the future, and the company also purchased the popular instant messaging application WhatsApp for a whopping $19 billion.

@facebook.com என்ற ஆள்களக்குறியீட்டுடன் (Domain) கடந்த 2010ம் ஆண்டு நவம்பர் இந்த மின்னஞ்சல் சேவையினை தனது பயனர்களுக்காக பேஸ்புக் அறிமுகம் செய்திருந்தது.
எனினும் பேஸ்புக் நிறுவனம் எதிர்பார்த்ததைப் போன்று இந்த மின்னஞல்சல் முகவரிகளை பெருமளவான பயனர்கள் பயன்படுத்துவதில்லை.
இதன் காரணமாகவே தனது மின்னஞ்சல் சேவையினை நிறுவத்துவதாக அறிவித்துள்ளது.
இதற்கிடையில் பேஸ்புக் நிறுவனம் 10 பில்லியன் டொலர்கள் கொடுத்து WhatsApp இனை கொள்வனவு செய்தமை தெரிந்ததே.
