A Leaked Image Shows Samsung’s Redesigned S Voice App

Samsung is said to be undergoing a lot of changes. Recently, Samsung introduced a new Magazine UX in its Galaxy NotePro and TabPro tablets, and we also saw some leaked images of the redesigned TouchWiz UI that looks quite different than the current UI on Samsung’s Galaxy line up.

It seems it’s not the only redesign Samsung is planning to implement. Recently, the folks at SamMobile tweeted an image of what is believed to be a redesigned S Voice application from Samsung.

The screenshot looks quite flat, and those who have used iPhone may get a hint that it resembles quite like it. For those who don’t know what S Voice is, it’s a personal assistant similar to Apple’s Siri that works with the voice of the users. Although it may not be as responsive and well made as Apple’s Siri, but it does a pretty decent job as well.

The new interface is expected to come with the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S5, and the new TouchWiz interface Samsung is planning to introduce with its upcoming flagship device. When will it see the light of the day? Well, there’s no solid proof to that as we’ve seen several rumored launch dates. Some point at February, while others say the Korean OEM will take the wraps off it in London in mid-March.

Let’s just wait for the official word, and see what happens. Until then, a little bit of speculation is required.

Olympus SP-100 Superzoom Camera Ships in March

Olympus has announced a new digital camera that slots into its point and shoot superzoom range. The new camera is called the SP-100 and it will ship this March. The camera will cost $299.99 when it does ship. The biggest feature of the camera is that it has 50x optical zoom. The camera also has the world’s first red dot sight.

The sight pops up above the optical viewfinder and can be stored away when not needed. The idea behind the red sight is that it makes it easy to keep track of fast moving subjects. The 50x optical zoom is equivalent to 24-1200mm. The camera does have optical image stabilization.

The image stabilization function works for video recording and macro photography as well. The resolution of the camera is 16MP and the sensor used is a BSI CMOS unit. The camera uses the TruePic VII image processor. The camera can record full HD resolution video at 60fps. If you need more fps, the camera also supports 120 fps at 640 x 480 and 240fps at 320 x 240. The camera also has a multi-Motion Movie image stabilization mode to compensate for blurring when you move during filming.
